He’s found billions in Obama waste. Carson has cleaned up HUD. Now he reports a major win for veterans.

Homelessness rates for veterans are on the decline and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson claims it is because of the teamwork in the Trump administration.
Veteran homelessness rates drop by 5.3 percent. In 2017, HUD estimated that there were approximately 40,000 homeless veterans. This year, they estimate that number shrunk to 37,000 homeless veterans.
Sec. Carson told Fox News that he believes this decline will continue because of mixed methods approach of finding housing for veterans and ensuring that they receive counseling and mental health resources to prevent the veterans from returning to homelessness.
Carson clearly cares about veterans. He’s taking Trump’s agenda—to put veterans first—and is running with it.

The sad reality is that the men and women who served to keep us safe often have it the hardest.
They endure unspeakable conditions and injuries overseas. Only to come back to America to be neglected.
They suffer PTSD and other problems. Because of this, they cannot find work or housing.
But thanks to the tireless efforts of Carson and HUD, more veterans are getting the help they need. They are getting treatment, good jobs, and homes.
This is how it always should have been. Our troops took care of us. We should take care of them.
Voters are seeing this and want to thank them at the polls.
