As the country continues to question the health of democrat nominee for president Hillary Clinton, her people are trying to limit the damage.
After months of strange behavior and evidence of an illness, people are speculating at just what might be wrong with the candidate.
It all came to a head on September 11, when Clinton was seen collapsing outside of a van at the 9/11 memorial.
The press and her campaign have been trying to spin the incident with various excuses, but many are wondering just what is wrong with Hillary.
So it comes as no surprise that her husband, well versed in manipulating the truth, would go on the record to try and protect her.
Yet it didn’t turn out quite like they planned.
When airing an interview with former president and would-be First Husband Bill Clinton, CBS News edited out a verbal slip that would have reflected poorly on his wife Hillary Clinton.
Clinton sat down with Charlie Rose Monday afternoon in an interview that aired later that evening. As the Daily Caller’s Chuck Ross noticed, this is what the CBS News’s website reported Clinton said when asked about his wife’s recent health issues.
Asked if there was any chance her faintness on Sunday could be a sign of some more “serious” illness, Clinton said he did not believe that was the case.
“Well if it is, it’s a mystery to me and all of her doctors,” he said, “because frequently—well not frequently, rarely—but on more than one occasion, over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing happened to her when she got severely dehydrated.”
When aired during their prime time coverage, CBS edited out the “frequently” bit, with a cut to Charlie Rose.
Bill Clinton is very good at hiding the truth. He has done it his entire career. Hillary could be suffering from a serious illness, but his careful wording can allow him to hide that fact, while still sounding truthful.
But his slip of saying his wife “frequently” collapses due to dehydration is surprising. It may suggest that Hillary has been suffering from health issues for many years
CBS has received some backlash over the edit. They claim it was shortened simply for time, reiterating that the full interview is viewable online.
Yet it looks like more evidence that the liberal media is going out of their way to protect Hillary Clinton.
