A beautiful video of an airport’s sudden patriotic display is restoring America’s faith in humanity.
Gary Sinise, who played Lieutenant Dan in the film Forrest Gump, recently sponsored a trip for the children of fallen soldiers to go to Disney World for Christmas.
Sinise’s Foundation is well known for its support of all of the men and women who serve our country, and the actor’s generosity knows no bounds when it comes to Gold Star Families.
He truly is a generous patriot!
Over 1000 Gold Star Children travel w/ surviving parent, 1,750 in all, via @americanair to Disney World today as part of our @GarySiniseFound Snowball Express program. This charter left LAX this morning. I’ll join up in a few days. Have fun kids! We love you! pic.twitter.com/OfMEpVF1er

Thankfully, many Americans share Sinise’s deep appreciation for our nation’s heroes.
So, when these children boarded their flight to Disney World, travelers spontaneously honored them with a show of patriotism and pride.
This isn’t something you see every day!
From The Daily Caller:
“A video of busy airline travelers standing, saluting and paying respects to children whose parents died in combat has gone viral.
The video was taken at the Nashville International Airport in Tennessee as a plane of children who lost a parent in combat transferred flights.
The kids were met with a rendition of the national anthem and patriotic decorations at the gate. As the anthem was played, other travelers in the airport stopped and saluted the children.
I witnessed an international airport come to a complete stop today … At the Nashville airport I walked out into the concourse to this scene @americanairlines was flying a plane full of children who had lost a parent in combat to Disneyworld on an all expenses paid trip and they threw a party for them at the gate❤️But when they announced them over the loud speaker and they lined up to board the plane the whole airport literally stopped and sang the national anthem with military present in salute. Most every person standing around, myself included was bawling at the sight of these kids and spouses who have paid so great a price for our country. To see all of this at Christmas time was so humbling. Seeing the general public in an airport stand still to honor these kids was simply beauitful. @bna_airport #nashville #fallenwarriors Gary Sinise Foundation #america #snowballexpress #christmas Garysinise

Everyone who participated in this moment gave these Gold Star Children a memory they will always cherish.
Jen Tringale shared a video of the moment and said she and several others were, “bawling at the sight of these kids and spouses who have paid so great a price for our country.”
“To see all of this at Christmas time was so humbling. Seeing the general public in an airport stand still to honor these kids was simply beautiful,” Tringale said.
Losing a parent is never easy, but hopefully these children and their surviving parents can take comfort in the fact that their loved one’s sacrifice is still deeply appreciated by a grateful nation.
Yes, patriotism IS alive and well!
This is the true America, not the mainstream media’s slanted portrayal of America.
This airport of patriots were able to show these families the admiration, reverence and empathy they deserve.
And we join them in their applause … don’t you?
