They refused to give Trump his funding, but then they turned around and did the exact opposite.

For years, Trump has begged Congress to put Americans ahead of the rest of the world.

And for many years, Congress has ignored him.

They’ve had plenty of opportunities to build the much-needed wall. But both Republicans and Democrats have refused.

Instead, they are paying a ransom to Mexico.

The United States pledged $5.8 billion in aid Tuesday for strengthening government and economic development in Central America, and another $4.8 billion in development aid for southern Mexico.

The U.S aid aims to promote better security conditions and job opportunities as part of a regional plan to allow Central Americans to remain in their countries and not have to emigrate…

It was unclear if Mexico would give anything in return. A planned announcement about Mexico’s migration policy was postponed until Wednesday.

Trump claimed the money we “saved” in the trade deal should be put to building the wall. Instead, Congress is throwing it away to help other nations.

They think—much like Obama thought with Iran—that if they shell out billions to countries that hate us, they’ll prevent millions of their citizens from fleeing to our country.

Shouldn’t it be those countries’ responsibility in building their economies and jobs? Why should we shell out cash to Mexico, after they’ve turned a blind eye to illegal immigration for decades?

Now word has come out that Trump isn’t even pushing for the measly $5 billion for wall funding.

This is our government in a nutshell. They spent decades giving away our resources and jobs. Now they are literally just giving away our money to countries that mock us.

Mexico doesn’t have to do a damn thing in exchange for this money. In fact, they’ll probably just continue to export migrants into our country.

Much like Iran continued building nukes, after we gave them billions.

Trump might be able to allocate funds for the wall, via the military. But that’s a long shot.

Without backing from Congress, the wall will never get built!
