We’ve known all along that Washington insiders, be they democrats or republicans, are rooting for Hillary Clinton. She is after all the best person for president, if you want to maintain the status quo of corruption and complacency that is rampant in our system.
GOP nominee Donald Trump represents a powerful shift in our government. If he is elected, he will shake up D.C., bringing an end to decades of insider politics that have benefited our leaders, but not the American people.
So it should come as no surprise that there are people within the status quo who are working to help secure a win for Hillary, regardless of their party.
But the real shocking news coming out today, is just who some of these people are and what they’re in charge of.
The men and women who run the supposedly “nonpartisan” Commission on Presidential Debates have put their money where their mouths are — and it all has gone to Democrat Hillary Clinton.
The amount of money is small by the standards of a modern presidential campaign, but it is one-sided. A pair of Ph.D. candidates at Stanford University examined campaign finance reports and found that all of the $5,650 in contributions that commission members have made to presidential candidates during this election season have gone to Clinton.
Republican Donald Trump, who will meet Clinton in the first debate a week from Monday, received no donations from debate commission members. Green Party nominee Jill Stein and Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, who both learned Friday that they will be shut out of the first debate, also received nothing.
There’s been speculation for a while now that Hillary’s camp would try to rig the debates in her favor. In all honesty, the only way for her to have an upper hand in a one-on-one with Trump would be to control the debates completely.
Now we see that the people responsible for overseeing these crucial events are completely in the bag for Crooked Hillary.
Each member of the commission board has shown support for the democrat, in one form or another. While most of them have contributed funds over the years to her campaigns, others have appeared in promotional videos, praising the candidate.
So what does this mean for the debates? It’s clear they will try to push the events in Hillary’s favor as much as they can, from booking predominately liberal hosts to filling the audience with pro Hillary voters.
Not to mention coming up with soft ball questions for the democrat and attempts at slamming Trump.
But like all the shady dealings Hillary has been a part of, this will most certainly blow up in her face.
