The Democrats are breaking down, starting with a vulnerable Senator.
With Kavanaugh’s confirmation moving to the Senate floor, speculation is high over what happens next.
The attacks leveled at Kavanaugh have been unprecedented and utterly disgraceful. But, despite all the lies, slander, and drama, it still comes down to a few key senators to decide his fate.
Three Republican senators: Flake, Murkowski, and Collins, have been inconsistent with their support for Kavanaugh. Since the bogus allegations came out, they seem even less so.
But there were several Democrats who supported Gorsuch, Trump’s first nominee. Kavanaugh’s fate might come down to a sole Democrat.
And he just happens to represent a pro-Trump state.
Interesting: A source close to Senator Manchin tells me now, "Short of claims that definitively prove Dr. Ford's allegations or a realization that Kavanaugh will gut the healthcare law, Manchin will side with the overwhelming number of people in WV who want Kavanaugh confirmed."

Manchin, of course, left his meeting with Collins, Murkowski, and Flake saying he was unsure. But thought source's use of "definitively prove" was interesting.

Manchin is in a very precarious position. He’s a Democratic senator from a red state that went for Trump in 2016.
If he wants to hold onto his seat in the coming years, he has to be supportive of the president. At least in ways that appear bipartisan and pro-America.
This would be one of those time. The ugly attacks against Kavanaugh have only shown Americans how low Democrats get-go.
Kavanaugh’s remarkable defense of himself yesterday showed us what a true, honest, and dedicated patriot he is.
It’s very likely the people of West Virginia strongly endorse Trump’s nominee. It might go very badly for Manchin if he joins his erratic and disgraceful party to vote against him.
What’s very interesting is the possibility that Manchin will vote for Kavanaugh, especially if those Republicans vote no.
Seems like he is eager to support a man that more than deserves a seat at the bench.
We’ll have to wait and see.
