The two debated on live TV for a local news channel. The host challenged the Democrat over her questionable living situation.
And she did not handle it well.

However, when asked, Slotkin, trying to defend herself, blew up, claiming that the attacks on her were “political desperation” since she claimed to be paying fair market value.
Wow. Let’s break down this situation.
Democrat Elissa Slotkin, who represents Michigan’s 8th Congressional district, is living in an apartment owned by one of her campaign donors.
But not just any donor. A man who works at a company that receives millions in federal funding. He is apparently a lobbyist–and his family is registered to vote at the same apartment address.
You don’t have to be a political expert to think there is a conflict of interest when a congresswoman is living at a lobbyist’s home.
But when pressed on the issue, Slotkin had a meltdown. She defended her situation by claiming she is paying a “fair market value” for the apartment.
Her rival,state Sen. Tom Barrett, pointed out that there are over 1,500 apartments in her town for rent. Why did she pick one that looked so concerning?
According to recent polls, the Democrat is trailing Barrett 46.1% to 44.6%. Clearly, she is the one who is “desperate” as she is polling the lowest she’s ever had since getting elected.
This smacks of the kind of corruption Democrats long complain about, but never fix.
A man who possibly lands millions from the government for his company, who donated to her campaign, is now her landlord?
And there is no possible chance her policies as a congresswoman could be influenced by this man and his company?
