Their plan slipped out – they betrayed Kavanaugh and their own voters.
Democrats aren’t very smart, are they? By a slim margin, they managed to get a lead in the House.
Smart people would use that to work with the President and the Senate to pass some good measures.
But not these people.
After promising not to go after Brett Kavanaugh, it looks like ranking House Democrats have taken an about-face.
Defying their soon-to-be leader, Nancy Pelosi, Democrats have revealed their plan to take out Trump and his latest Supreme Court pick.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee who is favored to be the next House Judiciary Committee chairman, revealed in a phone conversation that Democrats plan to “impeach Kavanaugh” and investigate President Donald Trump for alleged Russian collusion…
The first option, he explained, was to investigate the FBI for how they handled the uncorroborated claims from several women claiming Kavanaugh sexually assaulted them…
He then brought up Democrats’ Plan B, which was to go after Kavanaugh himself, because “there’s a real indication that Kavanaugh committed perjury.”
The top House Democrat then moved on to the subject of investigating Trump, which he said would be branded as holding Trump “accountable” for his actions when in reality Democrats plan to go “all in” depending on the outcome of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Looks like at least Nadler is going for a self-destruct approach to leadership.

Democrats just barely squeaked out a win in the House. They picked up around 20 seats. That’s a slight majority (Obama lost over 60 in his first midterms).
They are on a razor’s edge. Democrats need to play nice with Republicans to get anything done. Or 2020 will be the end of the line for liberals.
So, what does a ranking Democrat do? Spill the beans on the worst plan ever!
It would be hard, near impossible, to get enough Democrats to support such radical investigations. Too many would fear backlash.
It would also empower Republicans like never before. Democrats’ attacks on Trump and Kavanaugh helped secure massive gains for Republicans this midterm.
Do they really want to piss off voters even more?
Perhaps, if Pelosi and the rest of the party follow Nadler’s dumb advice.
Democrats lied to win a few seats and now they’re headed for a war that will destroy their party forever.
