It’s not news that Rosie O’Donnell, who was once labeled the “Queen of Nice” — at least, until she blindsided and blasted her talk show guest, the popular Tom Selleck, for his support of the Second Amendment — has no love lost for Donald Trump.
And the feeling’s likewise. Trump and O’Donnell have engaged in some nasty back-and-forths in recent years, most of which has made its way into the social media circuit and onto the pages of gossip columns in various newspapers around the nation.
Celebrity watchers may even, in fact, have been wondering of late — since the election of Trump — what’s Rosie’s reaction?
Well, here’s a hint: She’s not happy. But she may have outdone even herself with her latest vitriol against the president-elect — and his family.
From Conservative Tribune: “Comedian and liberal talk show host Rosie O’Donnell just took her feud with President-elect Donald Trump one step too far. … Ten years later, not much changed, as O’Donnell took to Twitter on Nov. 22 to post a bold opinion about Trump’s son, Barron.”
Basically, O’Donnell posed in a tweet the question of whether Barron was autistic or not, and shared a seven-minute video of the boy behaving in a manner that some might say shows signs of autism.
But then again: His videotaped behaviors could just be the normal actions of boys who are 10 years old
“Clips of the president-elect’s son falling asleep during his father’s victory speech circulated the internet as the boy could barely keep his eyes open during the late-night victory. That is normal behavior for any 10-year-old boy,” Conservative Tribune reported.
Regardless, O’Donnell’s attempt hits on the Trump family backfired. Twitter users slammed her for using a 10-year-old boy to sideswipe Trump, and doing so by making a mockery of a medical matter that’s very serious for some.
As one Twitter user wrote: “US special needs moms don’t post about OTHER children and their disabilities on social media.”
