Perhaps the worst legacy left behind by Obama is a string of liberal, activist judges wreaking havoc on our country.
These judges are beholden to the American people. They can’t be removed from office.
And time and again they have undermined the President of the United States because of their own radical beliefs.
But it looks like they are on the losing end of the battle, as the Supreme Court once again ruled in the President’s favor.
From Daily Caller:
The U.S. Supreme Court stayed a lower court ruling which narrowed enforcement of President Donald Trump’s travel ban, handing the administration another victory on a signature immigration policy initiative.
As a result of the order, some 25,000 refugees are temporarily barred from resettlement in the U.S.
The dispute concerned the reach of the high court’s June ruling, which allowed the president’s order to take partial effect. Though the ruling allows the president to suspend the Department of State’s refugee resettlement program for 120 days, it also provides that refugees with a “bona fide” relationship to a person or entity in the U.S. be permitted entry…
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against the administration last Thursday, prompting the Department of Justice to appeal to the Supreme Court.
The 9th Circuit’s order requires the administration to admit refugees contracting with resettlement agencies beginning Tuesday. That ruling is now stayed pending further action by the high court.
Buried underneath all the news of Hurricane Harvey and Irma was the story of the 9th Circuit once again attacking the President.
It seems these radical, liberal judges don’t understand the Constitution and the scope of their authority in relation to the President.
But the Supreme Court knows better. While there are liberal-leaning justices on the Court, they are far less radical. They care most about upholding the Constitution, not pushing forward a radical, progressive agenda.
And they’re not going to thwart the President’s lawful authority just to make a statement.
It remains to be seen what they rule on the entire executive order. Considering it was entirely legal, chances are they will rule in favor of the President.
