No one can accuse Donald Trump of not having great ideas.
The man who turned his father’s small real estate concern into a billion-dollar, multi-national enterprise, the man who became the face of reality television, the man who defied the odds to beat democrats in D.C., is certainly a man with incisive thoughts and unbeatable tactics.
It was this man who came up with the slogan, “Make America Great Again,” a catchphrase that was repeated by millions across the United States. It was so prevailing that even his critics used it and tried to co-opt it with myriad parodies and variations.
Compare that with “I’m With Her.” Just don’t roll of the tongue the same way.
Although he has yet to serve a day in the White House, Trump has his eye on the future. We’ve even heard of his future slogan for 2020!
From The Political Insider:
Halfway through his interview with The Washington Post, Trump shared a bit of news: He already has decided on his slogan for a reelection bid in 2020.
“Are you ready?” he said. “ ‘Keep America Great,’ exclamation point.”
“Get me my lawyer!” the president-elect shouted.
Two minutes later, one arrived.
“Will you trademark and register, if you would, if you like it — I think I like it, right? Do this: ‘Keep America Great,’ with an exclamation point. With and without an exclamation. ‘Keep America Great,’ ” Trump said.
“Got it,” the lawyer replied.
That bit of business out of the way, Trump returned to the interview.
Believe it or not, there’s a lot to unpack in this short exchange. Not only does Trump have his eye on 2020, but he has come up with the slogan, “Keep America Great.”
This suggests his massive confidence that the next four years will bring about tremendous change to our country. Already we’ve seen jobs return in droves since the election. No doubt more victories will come in the coming years.
The new slogan suggests that even his critics will stand up and acknowledge the success Trump will bring to our nation. Right now hardcore liberals are fighting Trump tooth and nail, ignoring the victories already won, and trying to twist everything he says and does. But as his administration unfolds, even they won’t be able to deny the success he will bring to our country.
I even like how he was quick to get a lawyer and trademark the slogan. When he has an idea, he acts on it. There is no committee thinking or dissection. This is the kind of bold, decisive leadership the White House has needed for decades.
Come 2020, we’ll all be chanting “Keep America Great.”
