While Americans enjoy religious freedom thanks to the Constitution, that’s not true in many parts of the world.
Christians are a minority group in many regions. Because of this, they are persecuted severely. Muslim nations are very hard on Christians and other non-Muslims. They sometimes face imprisonment or worse.
One nation has granted Christians religious liberty for years. But recently, they’ve begun a vicious crackdown on churches. Christians are facing strong backlash, being forced to renounce their faith.
It could put become a major issue between them and the United States.
From Fox News:
The Chinese government is destroying crosses, burning bibles, closing churches and forcing Christian believers to sign papers renouncing their faith as the crackdown on religious congregations in Beijing and several provinces intensifies.
The suppression of religious freedoms is part of an official campaign to “Sinicize” religion by demanding loyalty to the atheist Communist party and removing any potential challenge to the party’s power in the country.
“The international community should be alarmed and outraged for this blatant violation of freedom of religion and belief,” Bob Fu of China Aid, said.
#China CCP starts burning the Bible and crosses in Henan. Last time burning Bibles campaign happened in late 1960s by dictator Chairman Mao’s wife Jiang Qing in Shanghai. She was arrested in 1976 but Christians grew to millions. Will Never be successful河南文革重现,烧圣经十字架 pic.twitter.com/T5esv16NXI

Communist China has had a long history of persecuting Christians.
In the past churches had to meet in secret, or face arrests, torture, and death.
For many years that seemed to be a thing of the past. But President Xi Jinping seems to be reviving the old ways.
The man has more power than any past president, rivaling the dreaded Mao Zedong. It’s clear Xi wants to rule for life.
Christianity poses a direct threat to tyrants, as it teaches only God is king. Communist (and socialist) dictators around the world persecute Christians.
Their hope is to snuff out the faith of millions. But, as in the days of old, they will utterly fail.
Now is the time for the United States to act on the part of Christians in China.
President Trump has hit China with heavy tariffs on their goods, to even the playing field. He must now confront China’s vile human rights abuses.
SHARE if you think Trump should step in and stop them!
