Polls/Petitions The Latest

The public was outraged earlier this week over FBI Director James Comey’s shameful pronouncement over Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. Despite overwhelming evidence of wrong doing and jeopardizing the safety of the American people, cowardly Comey did not recommend charges against the former secretary of state.

Most people rightly noticed that if anyone else had done what Clinton and her cronies did, they would be behind bars. But apparently the legal system, nor right and wrong, apply to the Democratic nominee for president.

Speculation has arisen at how Comey could show such special treatment to Clinton. What is she holding over his head? Did she promise future favors to the man, if he was lenient to her? We may never know, but the truth is, Clinton rigged the system to get out of punishment.

From NY Post:

Comey said the bureau looked for evidence that “classified information was improperly stored or transmitted” on Clinton’s personal email servers, in violation of a “statute making it a felony to mishandle classified information either intentionally or in a grossly negligent way.”

Sure enough, his agents found plenty: 110 emails “in 52 email chains” were considered classified “at the time they were sent or received.”

The evidence showed Clinton and her colleagues were “extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information” — even if they may not have “intended” to break the law. And, as he said earlier, proving intent isn’t necessary to find her guilty of a felony.

Comey made one other point: Some emails “bore markings indicating the presence of classified information” — contrary to what Hillary repeatedly claims. But even with emails that didn’t contain such markings, Clinton still had an obligation “to protect it.”

All of which seems enough to convict (never mind indict) her — based on Comey’s own criteria.

Even though Clinton lied under oath, transmitted classified documents on an illegal server, and showed extreme carelessness she will face no penalties.

Now think about your job. If you willfully broke the rules, jeopardized the lives of coworkers, and showed extreme carelessness toward vital responsibilities, what would happen? Getting fired would be the very least of your worries. Your boss would have reason to have you arrested. But Hillary Clinton? Apparently the Democratic nominee for president doesn’t deserve such treatment. She’s a fragile baby that can’t handle the repercussions of her own actions.

So why on earth would Comey let her off the hook? Especially when the agency had recommended charges against others, like Gen. David Petraeus, who had similarly failed to protect classified information.

The answer: The Clintons enjoy a different standard. They are above the law.

Indeed, the sheer number of scandals for which Bill and Hillary Clinton have escaped punishment is simply astonishing. There’s always some “technicality” or “lack of evidence” or other pathetic excuse.

Here’s how Comey himself put it: “Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statute . . . our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”

It’s clear the corruption within the US government goes farther than we realized. When the FBI director protects a known criminal, there are surely severe problems with the system. It’s going to take a very strong, very uncompromising leader to flush out all the trash in Washington and set this thing right.

You know Clinton won’t do that, as she and her vile husband Bill have created this system back in the 90’s.

The American people have more reason to mistrust and even lose all confidence in their government. Why should we support leaders who look the other way from wrongdoing?

At least we have one last recourse: we can be sure a crook like Hillary never becomes president.
