Look whose just changed their tune?
In a shocking turnaround from weeks of rhetoric, this former rival has announced he will support whoever achieves the Republican nomination, including Trump.
This comes after rumors that delegates would support Trump if he picked him as a running mate.
Is a bromance in the works?
From Western Journal:
“I’ve always said I’m going to support the Republican nominee and that’s especially true now that it’s apparent that Hillary Clinton is going to be the Democratic candidate,” Marco Rubio said on WIOD in Miami, when asked if he would support Trump.
“Hillary Clinton would be a disaster for America,” Rubio said Wednesday.
In the last few weeks of Rubio’s campaign traded some vicious barbs with the New York candidate. Both exchanged some nasty words. But now it looks like both are burying the hatchet. Trump has even stated:
“Yes. I like Marco Rubio,” Trump said then, adding, “He made a mistake. He became Don Rickles for about four days, and then I became worse than Don Rickles.”
That’s almost an apology from Trump. What have they been saying behind closed doors?
If Trump does get the GOP nomination, he’ll have a strong supporter in Rubio. As a senator from Florida and a Cuban American, he can help pull in the much-need Hispanic vote for Trump, whom the liberal media has painted as an enemy to that demographic.
