Remember when Obama said Al-Qaeda was “decimated” and “on the run”? That was just before they overran vast swathes of Iraq. This is the same president who insists that “ISIS is contained” — right before the Islamic terrorists claim more victims, from the Middle East to Orlando, Florida.
Presumably Obama is too busy counting down the days until his lavish retirement to Hawaii and the Hamptons to listen to one brave young woman who recently visited D.C. Her truth-filled testimony about ISIS is both chilling and damning:
A former Islamic State sex slave appearing before Congress urged the U.S. to fight the radical terrorist group with more urgency.
The Yazidi woman, Nadia Murad, who escaped captivity in 2014, testified before the Senate Homeland Security committee about the horrors of living under ISIS, CNN reported. (…)
“The USA must act. We must terminate Daesh [Islamic State] and all such terror,” she said through a translator. “Daesh will not give up their weapons unless we force them to give up their weapons.”
Murad no doubt hit a sore spot when she asked why “a country as strong as” the United States couldn’t “protect its citizens in Orlando,” let alone crush ISIS on its home turf.
Nadia Murad has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. The chances of her winning are pretty small, though — obviously they only give out such honors to great men like… President Obama.
