Now that the electoral votes are in, there is no longer any doubt that Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States.
One would think that the bellyaching and empty scheming of bitter liberals would finally die down. While I expect that will happen quickly, we should expect plenty of complaining over the next four years.
Despite the progress President Trump will make for our country, there will always be people ready to criticize the man. They will blatantly ignore the facts–as they had during the election–to slander the man and his work. They will come up with attacks that are not founded on facts, often even contradicting themselves.
We’ve seen it all before; and it will only serve to humiliate the person doing the complaining.
On Monday’s episode of The View, co-host Whoopi Goldberg said she’s more informed and capable of being President of the United States than current President-elect Donald Trump.
“Here’s the difference, when I speak, at least you know that I’ve actually looked stuff up, so people think that I might be more aware,” Goldberg said. “People know that I’ve had a wide variety of lives, so they think I might know some stuff.”
Trump, Goldberg says, is a man that “doesn’t seem to do the homework, who doesn’t seem to have any idea how things actually run.”
“When you bring up Hillary, I can only think to myself she may not have been the best candidate for people, but I know she knew what she was doing,” Goldberg said of the former Democratic presidential nominee.
Just after saying she is more qualified to be president, she went on to say Clinton “didn’t do her homework,” in regards to the email server scandal.
Um… what? Didn’t she just say Trump “doesn’t seem to do the homework”? Now Hillary doesn’t?
Perhaps it’s Whoopi that doesn’t do the homework, or pay attention to anything she is saying.
The fact is liberal Hollywood backed Hilary because it was fashionable to want a woman President. They were willing to ignore her poor track record and questionable behavior to see it happen.
In the small way, they ignored Trump’s many accomplishments–from his businesses to his children–and tried to invent a version of the man that simply does not exist.
But come January, he will be the next president. Whoopi and any detractors left will only serve to humiliate themselves.
