Despite the few flagging #NeverTrump disciples, it looks like the tide is turning for Donald.
The closer we get to the Republican National Convention, the more we hear about conservatives coming out in support of the candidate.
Recently on Fox News Sunday, political contributor Brit Hume asserted that most conservatives are warming up to Trump.
Hume, “I think it’s one of a number of signs that Donald Trump is well on his way to pulling nearly all of the Republican party behind him. There will be holdouts and there will be conservatives who were conservatives first and Republicans second who will not be reconciled to him, but the Supreme Court list that he put out, the meeting with Paul Ryan, all these things are pointing in the same direction, that Republicans and most conservatives are increasingly ready, particularly because they so fear the alternative, to back him and I think that’s where we’re going.”
Large endorsements have come in from groups like the NRA, helping to solidify Trump’s conservative stance. An endorsement like that is sure to pull in more traditional Republicans who believe in Constitutional rights.
Although there will certainly be holdouts, the vast majority of Republicans will get on board for Donald Trump.
The alternative, of course, is to hand the White House back over to a Clinton, a situation this country surely cannot afford.
