With the electoral votes in, it’s clearly settled. Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States.
Despite the ungraceful and despicable campaigns of the left to try to undermine his November 8 win, Trump and his supporters carried on content in the knowledge that they sent a message to Washington. Americans will no longer tolerate insider games and business as usual.
That was the real reason Trump won the election. Voters wanted real change for our country and our government. Donald Trump represented that change.
But if you ask Hillary Clinton, it was a litany of other factors that led to her defeat. She and her die-hard supporters refuse to acknowledge Trump was the stronger candidate and that Americans simply did not want her to be President.
“This is a sad way to step off the stage,” MSNBC’s Mike Barnicle says in response to Hillary Clinton’s latest tirade explaining why she lost the presidential election.
“It’s just this utter incapability for self-examination,” New York Times reporter Jeremy Peters replied. “It’s the Russians’ fault, It’s Comey’s fault … it’s Huma’s fault, it’s Obama’s fault, it’s fake news’s fault, it’s the media’s fault.”
Despite a massive campaign budget of over $1 billion dollars, despite the support of a dishonest and corrupt media, Hillary Clinton lost. She and her people deluded themselves into thinking that she had the election in the bag.
They ignored the massive, surging support Trump was enjoying. They ignored the discontent many Americans had for our leadership, especially Barack Obama. They simple believed their shifty tactics would steal the election.
But they were wrong. Democrats now face a future where they’re influence is at a minimum. Unless they are willing to clear house, they will have a hard time finding support.
