It’s a widely accepted fact that Hollywood is in the bag for the Democrats. We’ve come to believe that all our favorite actors and celebrities fawn at the alter of the liberal elite, lending their fame to the cause.
Except that’s no longer true. More and more we learn about actors and entertainers who hold to conservative beliefs.
For years they have been shut out by the media and their industry. They feared to share their politics or religion, because the corrupt cabal that runs movie-making and television would ostracize them. But now more than ever, more celebrities are coming out in support for their traditional, American values.
It may not be a stampede, but there are enough to make people notice.
One celebrity that’s taking a stand is Scott Baio. An iconic figure from his time on popular television shows, you’d think the Baio would keep his mouth shut, let the election go as it may, in hopes of landing more roles.
Instead, he’s willing to put all that aside to stand up for his country. He spoke at the Republican National Convention in support of Trump and continues to defend his stance.
From Proud Conservative:
Baio spoke at the Republican National Convention and has been attacked by liberals and virtually all of Hollywood ever since.
“I’ll give you a very simple answer: I don’t care. I genuinely, in my heart, do not care if I ever work again. I don’t care. I’m comfortable and I’ve got a great life, but If I don’t have a country that is recognizable to me, I’ve got nothing.”
“If I can get my country back to where I think it can be and my career suffers, I win.”
Baio continued by saying, “I still think he’s going to win. I know he’s way ahead with Independents. I think the silent majority is about done with this crap.”
“The world is on fire. Nothing in this country is going in the right direction.” Baio said.
“They say Trump’s temperament is bad, and my response is, ‘Well, let’s see. Obamacare is a disaster. Immigration is a complete mess. People are coming here illegally from Muslim countries that want to kill us, the economy’s in the toilet and 95 million people are out of work. ISIS is cutting the heads off of people but Hillary and Obama’s temperament is great, so I’m happy about that.’”
It’s shockingly rare to hear even a conservative celebrity speak so plainly. Baio is embodying every patriot, when he says he cares more about this country than his own career. It is an act of bravery that will certainly hurt him landing roles in the future, but will go a long way in spreading the conservative message.
For the last eight years liberal Hollywood’s had a cushy relationship with the White House. Obama’s hired Hollywood screenwriters (including Iron Man’s Jon Favreau) and young celebrities to pad his image. He’s manipulated film makers to push forward a corrupt, liberal agenda.
It’s time that comes to an end. It’s time for strong conservative leadership to take back the government. And it’s time for brave celebrities in show business to actually stand up for traditional values.
Let’s hope Scott Baio is the first of many to come.
