What’s Happening:
Americans have been outraged over Biden’s deliberate neglect of our border. Meanwhile, he intends to tax us into oblivion–giving unprecedented cash to the federal government.
But not if Republicans have any say about it. A group from the House has concocted a plan to strip Biden’s favorite agency of its windfall–and restore sanity to the border.
From Daily Caller:
House Republicans led by New York Rep. Claudia Tenney introduced legislation Wednesday to redirect funds intended for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as the border crisis worsens.
The legislation, first obtained by the Daily Caller, would rescind all of the unobligated funds under the Inflation Reduction Act, which Biden signed in July, for new IRS enforcement activities. These funds would be reappropriated for the CBP to hire additional agents to secure the Southern Border.
Biden is trying to turn the IRS into some kind of enforcement agency. He shoveled $80 billion to the tax collection agency in his new “inflation” bill.
The goal is to hire 87,000 new IRS agents–for some unexplained reason. Many Americans fear this massive army of tax agents will be sicced onto the public.
House Republicans intend to dismantle the insane, socialist-supporting scheme. They will rescind funds meant for the IRS and send them to the Border Patrol.
The money won’t go to hire an army of auditors, but to law enforcement agents to defend the border.
Sounds like a much better use of our funds, right?
Biden has everything backwards, it seems. He is taking our money to make the most-hated government agency more powerful.
Meanwhile, he leaves the border open so more criminal aliens enter our country.
Biden has to inflate the size of the IRS, because how else is he going to turn America into Socialist Venezuela without taxing us to death?
Yet he doesn’t care that his lax border policies will lead to less tax revenue (since, ahem, illegal aliens don’t pay taxes).
We’re unsure if this Republican plan will see the light of day. But it is a good sign of things to come if they regain the House.
Key Takeaways:
- House Republicans plan to take money from the IRS and send it to Border Patrol.
- Biden plans to give the IRS $80 billion to expand its size by 87,000 workers.
- Republicans, however, want to send that money to fix the border crisis.
