Maxine’s Worst Nightmare Announces 2018 Run Against Her—He’s Latino And He’s…

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) continually cruises to victory in her district when election time rolls around.

That’s a pretty stunning sentence to have to wrap our heads around, especially in light of her consistently bizarre behavior.

Waters has been leading the charge for the impeachment of Trump, but she seems remarkably oblivious to how the process works. Simply looking to oust someone from office because you don’t care for them is not the way our country works, but that doesn’t prevent her from making a spectacle of herself.

Even more stunning than her consistent victories and nonsense rhetoric, Waters has come to be sort of a folk hero on the Left, where she’s often referred to as ‘Auntie Maxine.’ That tells you all you need to know about the state of the Democratic Party today.

The jig may finally be up on Waters come 2018. A serious challenger has emerged in her district, and he’s an incredibly well-spoken young man that doesn’t confuse the hell out of people when he speaks.

Breitbart reports:

Omar Navarro, 28, says he’s had “enough” of watching California’s liberal politicians let the Golden State and country fall apart.

The young, Latino conservative is challenging left-wing Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) for her seat in the 43rd Congressional District in the 2018 elections.

Hmmm. So you may be thinking that a conservative may not work in a district that consistently elects Waters, but a closer look at what he has to say may change that thought.

“When I realized Maxine Waters was my representative, I said, ‘Wow, this person is representing me? How are people electing this person year after year?’” Navarro said. “I started doing research and looking into her background and I did not see one candidate running a legitimate campaign against her in 27 years.”

In an interview with Breitbart News, Navarro said he is tired of seeing “liberal politicians that are running their own districts, their own counties down to the ground. Enough is enough.” He said he’s running in 2018 because “We have to do something about it and I’m not going to let our country fall apart.”

Navarro has received endorsements from a number of top figures, and the legendary Roger Stone is working behind the scenes on his campaign.

Among the issues he’s most passionate about are business growth, job creation, and favoring legal immigration over illegal immigration.

Trump resonated in a number of different districts that folks thought he didn’t stand a chance in. His straight-talk resonated, as did his perfect explanation of how constituents were consistently getting a raw deal by electing the same party over and over again.

That same strategy just may work in this district, and it may finally be time to wish Waters well in future endeavors.
