Megyn Kelly Gets A Rude Awakening From Fox News After Her NBC Show Plummets

I was always taught to be careful when seeking success.

To teach me this, my parents reiterated two valuable lessons about success throughout my childhood.

First, once you peak, you have nowhere to go except for down.

Second – to paraphrase a famous quote – you should be nice to people on the way up because you will meet them on the way down.

These lessons are much easier said than done. Sadly, far too few understand the values of humility, loyalty, and respect.

Many ambitious people fall prey to their own egos when climbing the ladder to success. These people let their aspirations get in the way of what really matters in life, and they almost always end up worse off for doing so.

Situations such as these are usually very sad. Occasionally, however, they can be joyfully ironic, especially when you yourself were wronged by the individual in question.

One such ironic saga relates to everyone’s favorite interviewer, debate moderator, and news anchor: Megyn Kelly.

From Breitbart:

Controversy usually creates cash and big ratings—except if you are NBC News’ Megyn Kelly.

After Kelly’s controversial and much-hyped interview with Alex Jones tanked by again failing to beat out reruns of 60 Minutes and America’s Funniest Home Videos, New York radio host Mark Simone tweeted on Monday that NBC is trying to unload Kelly and convince Fox News to take her back.

But a high-ranking Fox News source told Breitbart News that there is “no way” Kelly could come back to the network. Quite simply, the source told Breitbart News, Kelly “would not be welcomed back.”

Simone also suggested that if Kelly becomes more toxic and her ratings tank even more, “NBC will have to take her off the network,” and “if they are stuck with her, they’ll give her an MSNBC show.”

Kelly’s fall sounds almost too ironic to be real. It seems as though a playwright could not have crafter a better tragic story for Kelly than the one unfolding in real life.

Kelly spent much of the past two years revealing herself as one of the most opportunistic figures in television. Instead of just doing her job and informing the American public, Kelly decided to create unnecessary controversy in order to get attention.

She used her position as debate moderator to go head-to-head with then-candidate Donald Trump. She used her show to align Fox News with other mainstream media networks against Trump supporters and anti-establishment forces.

All this, it seemed, was to get a better contract from Fox. Kelly was on her way to getting just then when she left the network in favor of an even higher-profile job at NBC.

Now, after a string of poor interviews and even poorer ratings, NBC wants to get rid of Kelly.

It seems as though Kelly has been a journalistic fraud this whole time. It is too bad that it took this long for people to realize that fact.

The question today: Who will take her place?
