The Obamas could never be bothered to actively support our troops overseas.
In fact, the former president repeatedly insulted our service members with his insensitivity and indifference.
Rather than respecting our armed forces, Obama saluted them while holding a latte and forcing a Marine to hold his umbrella.
He just didn’t care much.
Our troops deserve so much better, though, and President Trump and First Lady Melania have been working tirelessly to show our soldiers that their sacrifices are appreciated.
The First Lady’s recent gesture proves one thing: this is an administration that loves and respects our heroes.

…items included popcorn, peanuts, playing cards, toiletries, hand soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and tissues.“

But it gets even better.
In each kit, the First Lady left a note for all the soldiers currently spending the holidays far away from home.
“We joined the spouses at the Red Cross Hall of Service in Washington, D.C., to pack this kit as a way to honor your service.
It is a token of appreciation from home during this Christmas season and an expression of our country’s deep respect and gratitude for your military service.“

The First Lady’s commitment to supporting our military reflects her dedication to serving the American people.
Before assembling the kits, the First Lady gave a moving speech to honor the bravery of those fighting abroad.
“I’m very thankful for the men and women in uniform, who sacrifice daily to protect not only the American people, but our freedoms and way of life.“
All Americans are grateful to the FLOTUS and Mrs. Pence for their demonstration of gratitude to the military on our behalf.
