NBA Champions Just Dissed President Trump Bigly…But They’re About To Pay For It Dearly!

This past year has seen a decline in professional sports. Not because of lack of interest, but because athletes have been getting political.

Fans have been turned off by high-paid athletes who go out of their way to insult our country. They seem to forget that sports fans tend to be very patriotic—and actually gasp love their country!

It looks like a group of athletes have not figured this out and decided to alienate much of their own fan base.

From US Herald:

Professional athletes aren’t gladiators. They aren’t demigods, and they aren’t necessarily even good role models these days…

So, when Golden Gate Warriors forward David West accused President Donald Trump of being a poor role model, the irony struck like an elbow to the jaw.

“We try to talk our young people out of being bullies. We try to talk our young men out of disrespecting women. We try to talk our young people into being accepting of other people’s opinions and other people’s walks of life,” West said. “And [Trump] is the complete opposite of all of that.”

Riiight. I’ll believe the political assessment of an NBA player! Apparently West has been watching CNN, instead of actually looking at the facts. He’s been too busy raking in all that cash for throwing around a ball, to actually know anything about our President.

But that hasn’t stopped the entire team from virtue signaling.

On Monday, the Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 4 games to 1 to win the second NBA championship in three years.

As is the custom the winning team was invited to visit the White House — an invitation the Warriors voted to decline.

How dare a basketball team insult the leader of the free world. News flash Warriors: you’re a bunch of entitled brats who get paid to run around a court. The White House is full of real leaders working to salvage what’s left of America—after eight years of disaster.

Why should any honest American support a sport that insults its leaders like this?

And we can’t ignore the racial aspect of this act. I’m sure this team would have loved to visit the White House, when Obama was president. A white man is now in office? Boycott!

We’ve seen how much the NFL suffered, thanks to disrespectful, entitled players. Maybe the NBA needs to learn the same kind of lesson.
