The downward trajectory of Hillary Clinton’s poll numbers continues.
The Democratic pick for president may have thought she was going to cake-walk to the White House, and that her Republican counterpart, billionaire businessman Donald Trump, was little more than a laughing stock whose campaign was fated to fizzle – but the numbers are showing differently.
This is definitely NOT what the media or the Democrats expected!
A new CNN poll indicates Trump has pulled ahead of Clinton on a national scale.
The Republican leads with 45 percent of the vote, compared to Clinton, at 43 percent.
Why the dramatic turnaround for both candidates?
“Clinton’s numbers have dropped amid revelations about her testimony to the FBI about her deleted emails, while she spends more time on the trail attacking Trump. Trump, it appears,” Breitbart’s Charlie Spiering wrote, “has turned around his campaign by focusing more on policy and community outreach.”
Interestingly, even Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson has gathered some steam, coming in with seven percent of votes, Breitbart reported. Green Party candidate Jill Stein rounds out the field of presidential candidates, with two percent.
The numbers are somewhat surprising for two reasons: First, they come from a mainstream press outlet, an employer of mostly Clinton supporters. And second, they indicate Clinton’s massive downfall and simultaneous quick and equally massive Trump elevation.
Look at the numbers from just a few weeks ago. In August, Trump polled at 37 percent, while Clinton maintained an eight percentage point lead.
