President Trump’s foreign policy rhetoric never ceases to amaze.
Former president Obama cowered like a nerd at a high school dance at every available opportunity when it came to dealing with foreign threats.
Trump is cut from a different cloth entirely. Rather than attempting to appease tyrannical despots and placate them through promises of money, our president is demonstrating strength and conviction by calling out the evil in the world, and vowing to put an end to it.
Perhaps the greatest evil in the world is the human rights abusing regime of North Korea. Despite the fact that the majority of the country is on the brink of starvation, Kim Jong Un continues to spend the socialist nation’s resources on nuclear weapons research.
While some tests have not been going well, others have insisted North Korea poses a real threat. Regardless of how serious the threat is, President Trump has already promised not to back down, and now he is refusing to run, hide, and hope the next administration deals with it.
From The Sun:
Speaking from the Oval Office in an interview with the Financial Times, the US president gave China an ultimatum: “Well if China is not going to solve North Korea, we will. That is all I am telling you.”
Trump confirmed he would be discussing the issue of North Korea with Chinese president Xi Jinping when he hosts the world leader at his resort this week.
The president added: “China has great influence over North Korea.
“And China will either decide to help us with North Korea, or they won’t.
“If they do, that will be very good for China, and if they don’t, it won’t be good for anyone.”
Trump’s commitment to actually dealing with this crisis is refreshing to those tired of waiting for something to be done about the volatile and unpredictable situation with The Hermit Kingdom.
For nearly 70 years, millions of North Koreans have had their lives destroyed by the brutal Kim dictators. Freedom itself is forbidden in the country, and saying anything remotely critical of the regime can get three generations of a family imprisoned in the unspeakably horrific labor camps.
The despotic rulers of North Korea have run unchecked for far too long. The situation cannot keep going the way it is. It’s up to someone with courage to face the challenge, and President Trump is demonstrating he is ready to confront it head on.
