More denial from the White House.
Anyone with half a brain will realize that ISIS and their followers are making greater and greater inroads across the world. Not a few weeks pass when we learn another target of their destruction. The terrible loss of Turkey isn’t the beginning, it’s a continuation of their evil plans to destroy the West.
But that’s not what apologist Barack Obama has to say. After every radical Islamic terrorist attack, he is quick to defend Muslims and downplay the ever-present threat of terrorism.
It’s as if he wants the terrorists to win.
From USA Today:
“It’s an indication of how little these vicious organizations have to offer,” Obama said while meeting with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto at the North American Leaders Summit in Ottawa, where the agenda was mostly on continental cooperation.
“Beyond killing innocents, they are continuing losing ground, unable to govern those areas that they have taken over,” he said. “They’re going to be defeated in Syria, they’re going to be defeated in Iraq. They are going to be on the run wherever they hide. And we will not rest until we have dismantled these networks of hate that have an impact on the entire civilized world.”
Yeah, that’s a nice spin Mr. President, but where is your plan to take them down? If you’re so convinced they’re “losing ground” (despite evidence to the contrary), how are you going to make sure these disgusting villains are brought to justice? You know that thing with bin Laden was five years ago. There are still more terrorists to kill.
This is was simply a sound bite from an outgoing president to appease the media. There are no real teeth with what Obama said. ISIS isn’t losing ground. They’ve attacked five times in the last year, responsible for the deaths of dozens upon dozens of free citizens. They are solidifying their holds in the Middle East, while their propaganda machine makes converts of Muslims all over the world.
How are they losing ground?
Obama wasn’t even willing to name ISIS in his statement. Is he afraid to call them out? Is he worried they’ll go after him next? You think a president would understand the risks of confronting terrorism. Maybe he doesn’t want to remind the public his administration knew about the formation of ISIS before it happened, but did nothing.
Yeah, Obama, you’d like to say ISIS is losing ground, because you single handily helped it form by withdrawing too soon from Iraq. All this bloodshed is on your and former SoS Hillary’s head.
The fact that he refuses to take more aggressive action is shameful, but not surprising.
