The democrats are desperate. That’s the least of what we can say. On the back of their stunning loss on Election Day, they are trying to get even a little bit of momentum in the public eye.
Instead of taking an honest stock of their party, reforming their broken views, and supporting honest, corruption-free leaders, they are doubling down on the very tactics that got them into this mess.
They look to radical leaders like Elizabeth Warren and Keith Ellison. They continue to push for extreme positions on issues like immigration, gender, and the environment. And they play petty games to undermine the incoming President, his leadership, and the GOP majority in Congress.
Clearly they have not learned.
What’s worse is that they are relying on the military industrial complex, a group they were once against, to achieve their ends. This network of military intelligence has been a pawn in the Democrats’ game to attack President-elect Trump.
But it will only resort in their own undoing.
From The Intercept:
They are using classic Cold War dirty tactics and the defining ingredients of what has until recently been denounced as “Fake News.”
Their most valuable instrument is the U.S. media, much of which reflexively reveres, serves, believes, and sides with hidden intelligence officials. And Democrats, still reeling from their unexpected and traumatic election loss as well as a systemic collapse of their party, seemingly divorced further and further from reason with each passing day, are willing — eager — to embrace any claim, cheer any tactic, align with any villain, regardless of how unsupported, tawdry and damaging those behaviors might be.
You may be wondering why the FBI and CIA are involved in crafting the narrative that Russia aided Donald Trump in some way to win the White House. Speculation may abound, but the bottom line is that the current leadership is under Obama’s thumb.
His last act in power is to lead these law enforcement and intelligence agencies to craft this false idea, in the hopes that it will have long-lasting effects on Trump’s presidency. Those leaders that are going along with it are doing so because, come January 20, they’ll be out of a job anyway, and are looking to do damage.
Not surprisingly, InfoWars seems to have gotten this one right, and it is just now exploding all over the news:
The left are jumping on this band wagon because right now it’s working in their favor. But even the writers at The Intercept, by no means fans of Trump, see the danger.
But cheering for the CIA and its shadowy allies to unilaterally subvert the U.S. election and impose its own policy dictates on the elected president is both warped and self-destructive. Empowering the very entities that have produced the most shameful atrocities and systemic deceit over the last six decades is desperation of the worst kind.
Our military and intelligence agencies hold tremendous power in our society and around the world. The only way they can be held in check is by our elected offices, tasked with representing our needs in government and listening to our demands. But when an entire party kowtows to these agencies, especially the CIA, to undermine our democracy, it has serious ramifications.
The fact that the left is willing to get in bed with a group they once despised (via extension of their traditional anti-military stance) shows how low they will go to claw back some political power.
In the end either two things will happen: they will succeed in defeating Trump and robbing him of any victories in the coming years–but also giving our democracy over to spies and shadow agents. Or this will only serve to further embarrass the DNC and erode more of its already shrinking ground in U.S. politics.
Either way, it’s very bad for liberals.
