We’ve always known former President Barack Obama was in politics for his own grandeur.

As president, he put forward policies that made him look good. Those policies only hurt our country and economy. (See: sky-high corporate taxes and Obamacare).

Today, he’s no different. Even after leaving office, he seeks opportunities to expand his profile around the world.

He got a comfy book deal, to the tune of millions. Obama and his wife were hired by Netflix—despite a lack of experience in the entertainment field.

Obama is also bilking taxpayers to build his bloated library—which will feature a basketball court instead of books.

Now we’ve discovered he’ll be attending a special event, paid for entirely by taxpayers.

Obama will take part in an invite-only Q&A session with elite business leaders titled “A Conversation with President Barack Obama,” and will be hosted by the University of Southern Denmark in Kolding on September 28…

It emerged separately that the university that will host the gathering would provide one million kroner (roughly $155,000).

I’m sure Danish citizens won’t be happy to learn their hard-earned dollars are being used for this event.

The city and school will be covering the costs—so that global elitists can hobnob for the former president.

Tax dollars are supposed to be used for the citizens who pay them. We shell out cash to the government. The government, in turn, uses the money to improve our cities and communities.

How is this big, bloated event supposed to help the people of Kolding?

I doubt the families who struggle to make ends meet really care that Obama will be speaking.

But this is modern leftists to a T. They burn through our tax dollars so that they and their buddies enjoy an opulent lifestyle.

It’s how Obama lived all eight years in the White House. He posted big-name actors and celebrities.

Threw lavish parties with entertainers and movie stars. He burned through our cash like a drunk teen on prom night.

The American people watched as jobs and opportunities bled.

Big surprise he continues this legacy around the world.
