Sarah Palin may be too divisive to earn a spot in Donald Trump’s cabinet, despite her many fans’ urgings that she be appointed to an appropriate post such as Secretary of the Interior.
It is more likely that Palin will reestablish herself as an “outsider,” commenting on social media and beyond about the new president’s decisions.
Palin hasn’t been an unadulterated cheerleader for Trump, but on one key issue they are on the same page:
During an interview with the “Breitbart Daily News” radio show on Thursday, Palin outlined two ways that the country could extricate itself from the U.N.
“One is, I called for our next president, Donald Trump, to call for the unshackling of the political bands tying us to the U.N.,” the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said.
“By exiting the U.N., where injustice is actually rewarded, we then will be able to uphold America’s reputation as the leader, and as the kind and compassionate and generous nation that we are – as the nation sharing values that, when emulated by any other nation, can bring justice and equal rights to any other nation.”
Aggravated by the machinations involving Obama, Kerry, the UN and Israel, Trump angrily declared that UN headquarters in New York City should be turned into condos. What do you think of his suggestion?
Such a move would be long overdue. While Republicans have been fulminating about the United Nations practically since the day it opened, with Trump in office the prospect of finally cutting off American aid to that “private club for dictators” is closer than ever.
