Things are looking bleak for Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton. While she is being propped up by the liberal media, she continually drives a wedge between herself and the American public.
Let’s not forget that just a few months ago, she and the DNC were exposed as working against their own, Bernie Sanders. That was enough for many voting democrats to turn their backs on the party.
Now Hillary has insulted a large contingent of voting Americans, by calling Donald Trump supporters a “basket of deplorables.”
It’s a sad and desperate move, from a candidate so out of touch she has no problem attacking Americans.
It’s one thing to criticize a rival, but to attack the people that might actually vote for you? That’s pathetic and completely unfitting for a woman who wants to be president.
Only now is she trying to back track. But it’s surely a case of too little, too late.
Hillary Clinton said Saturday that she was wrong to put half of Donald Trump’s supporters in a “basket of deplorables,” but she didn’t back down from describing his campaign as largely built on prejudice and paranoia. The Republican accused her of a “grotesque attack on American voters.”
Less than 24 hours after she made the comments at a private New York City fundraiser, Clinton said in a statement, “last night I was ‘grossly generalistic’ and that’s never a good idea. I regret saying ‘half’ — that was wrong.” But she argued that the word “deplorable” was reasonable to describe much of Trump’s campaign.
Apparently Hillary Clinton never learned the lesson that words are like toothpaste. You can never put them back in. But even when she admits that she was wrong to say what she did, she never really apologized.
Saying she “regretted” it means she regrets how it might hurt her campaign. She didn’t apologize to the millions of Americans who support Trump. She then went on to attack Trump, slandering everything he stands for.
Even when she’s trying to repair what she says, she can’t help but continue to spew bile all over the place.
That’s the kind of woman she is. A wise man once said, “From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
Well, we’ve seen what’s inside Hillary’s heart, haven’t we? And it ain’t pretty.
