Impeachment-Voting RINO Waves The White Flag – Anti-Trump Kinzinger Gives Up For Good, Won’t Run Again In 2022

What’s Happening:

In the aftermath of the 2020 Election, several notable Republicans turned their back on President Trump. Several of them in the House actually voted for Pelosi’s sham impeachment against him. One of those anti-Trump RINOs was Adam Kinzinger.

Most of the Republicans who turned on Trump faced intense backlash from supporters back home. While they wanted to keep the swamp happy, these politicians definitely outraged the people who voted for them. Some of these Republicans are facing tough re-election prospects. In Kinzinger’s case, it appears the battle will be too tough to endure.

So, he’s throwing in the towel. From The Hill:

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) announced Friday he will not seek reelection next year, marking an end to a 12-year House career that was capped off by vocal criticism of former President Trump…

Several hours after Kinzinger’s announcement, Trump released a statement reading, “2 down, 8 to go!”

After turning on the party and voting against Trump (and also joining Pelosi’s “commission”), Kinzinger announced he will not seek re-election in 2022. The RINO showed no sympathy for turning on the GOP and claimed he’s ending his 12 years in the swamp as a victor.

It’s unclear what Kinzinger is going to do. Some claim he will try to run for governor of his home state, Illinois. He will certainly have an uphill battle in that fight. Chicago has poisoned most of the state’s political landscape. As a Republican, he will receive no help from Chicago’s leftists. The rest of the state’s rural, conservative population will probably not vote for a man who betrayed Trump.

Chances are, Kinzinger will go the way of other RINOs who left Congress. He will end up back at the swamp, working with a “think tank” or lobbyist firm like Paul Ryan and so many others. Kinzinger will use his years in government to get a cushy job working for the people who corrupt our government.

The question now remains, what will come of his House seat? Thanks to Illinois Democrats, the state’s districts have been redrawn to favor liberal candidates (another reason Kinzinger is probably quitting). His seat will be combined with another liberal incumbent, ensuring a Democrat will win.

But that won’t change the fact that Illinois, like other blue states, has lost seats in the House. And Republicans gained many.

Key Takeaways:

  • Anti-Trump RINO Adam Kinzinger will not run for re-election in 2022.
  • The Republican turned on the party when he voted to impeach Trump earlier this year.
  • The man might run for Illinois governor or seek another job in politics.
