During this historic and intense primary season, the one camp making it difficult for everyone has been Bernie supporters.
They’ve caused riots across America at Trump rallies and have even threatened to cause significant damage along the East Coast. They’ve even rioted at Democratic meetings when things haven’t gone their way.
All this have been encouraged and perpetrated by Sanders himself, an outspoken opponent to law enforcement.
Now it seems he is setting his destructive sights on the Democratic National Convention.
From The Associated Press:
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia and his push to make the party more inclusive could get “messy” but asserts in an interview with The Associated Press: “Democracy is not always nice and quiet and gentle.”
Asked if the convention could be problematical, Sanders said: “So what? Democracy is messy. Everyday my life is messy. But if you want everything to be quiet and orderly and allow, you know, just things to proceed without vigorous debate, that is not what democracy is about.”
It’s those kinds of suggestive, irresponsible quotes from Sanders that have motivated his young, angry base to act violently across America. While the politician can’t openly endorse violence, he is all but encouraging it.
He knows he doesn’t have the same clout as a long-time elitist like Hillary. So what does he do? He wrangles up the wildest, most disillusioned members of his pack to lash out. Those kinds of tactics get on the news, but they don’t help anyone in tangible ways. It seems that if Sanders can’t get the nomination, he’ll cause as much trouble for the Democrats as he can.
Sanders also looked ahead to the future of his political movement, saying his goal was “the transformation of the Democratic Party.”
Oh, that’s certainly what he’s doing. The Democrats are now the rowdiest, most unprofessional, most un-American group in the country. Congratulations, Bernie, you did it! You made Democrats even more irrelevant than ever!
