SCRAMBLING! DOJ Fingers Russia For Massive American Cyberhack…While Offering ZERO PROOF

The deep state continues to grasp at straws in its attempts to undermine the Trump administration.

The same Justice Department that oversaw Operation Fast and Furious is now making some bold claims against the hottest scapegoat of 2016: Russia.

However, their pathetic accusations continue to lack any proof.

According to the DOJ’s indictment issued Wednesday, the culprits behind a 2014 hack of Yahoo email accounts are multiple Russian actors, including two FSB agents named Dmitry Aleksandrovich Dokuchaev and Igor Anatolyevich Sushchin. The agents allegedly orchestrated the whole operation using two known Russian hackers, Alexsey Belan and Karim Baratov.

Baratov is the only one in custody after being arrested in Canada on Tuesday. Officials stated that the main purpose of the Yahoo hack was to gather political and economic intelligence. The security breach affected 500 million Yahoo accounts, with Yahoo denying any such event took place until two years after the fact in September of 2016, reportedly fearing it would harm their sale to Verizon.

Russia has not issued a response to the allegations, instead directing reporters to an article on Sputnik News that refutes the indictment’s claims by stating that the accused are known CIA collaborators.

For instance, FSB agent Dmitry Dokuchaev was arrested by Russian authorities in December of 2016 on charges of treason for transferring data to “US intelligence service members”, a source revealed in February.

The timing of the DOJ’s claim is somewhat suspicious. Why did the Department of Justice wait so long to reveal Russia’s involvement in a hack that is now three years old? What evidence supports the charges?

Ultimately, their indictment has no teeth. It is unlikely that three of the four defendants will even be brought to trial given that the U.S. has no extradition treaty with Russia.

Predictably, Democrats like the wizened crone Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) are attempting to tie this steaming pile of nonsense to the Democratic National Committee hack, claiming Russia is behind them both. In reality, the Democrats are simply doing what they do best: pointing fingers and making baseless accusations.
