For millions of Americans, the end of the Obama era can’t come soon enough.
The president is squeezing everything he can out of his last month in office after eight long years. He’s so delusional that he’s going on a sort of farewell tour to soak up applause, even in unlikely venues.
One recent appearance didn’t go the way he’d probably hoped. Obama gave a speech about national security to troops assembled at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. What he said was so delusional, it makes you wonder if anyone vetts his speeches beforehand.
Amanda Shea reports:
Barack Obama had the audacity to say in his speech to these heroes, “We should take great pride in the progress we’ve made over the last eight years.” He continued his insulting comments by saying, “No foreign terrorist organization has successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland.”
He paused for applause for this “accomplishment,” which was a complete lie. There have been three deadly attacks in just the last year in San Bernardino, California; Orlando, Florida; and most recently, Ohio State University which the Islamic State took credit for.
Among the 20 soldiers in the room, only three humored him with a soft clap, while the others sat in silence with their hands in their lap…
This is the same president who honored the Muslim convert father of a deserter in a ceremony in the Rose Garden — a deserter who cost other servicemen their lives when they went out searching for him.
In contrast, the American soldiers who bravely stopped a terrorist attack on a train in France were never invited to the White House to receive medals or even a photo op.
Those are just two examples of Obama’s hostility and indifference to America’s brave men and women in uniform. Fortunately, under the Trump administration, these people will get the respect they deserve.
