As Obama’s time in office comes to a close, he is pushing for as many social reforms as possible.
Instead of going through Constitutionally legal channels, i.e.: Congress, he is abusing his power through executive orders.
We know he is trying to erode our Second Amendment rights. He is also making dangerous changes to prison policies. Perhaps the most radical and damaging change he is pushing, though, are transgender rights.
North Carolina is in a heated battle with Obama’s White House over their stance on gender identity. But even more egregious is Obama’s order requiring all U.S. schools to allow students to use the bathroom or locker rooms that conform with their “gender identity.”
But states aren’t having any of it. According to Fox News:
[Texas] is suing the Obama administration over its directive to U.S. public schools to let transgender students use the bathrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identity, Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday.
The lawsuit appears to make Texas the first state to take the federal government to court over the directive handed down to schools earlier this month.
They are even willing to forgo $10 billion in federal education money, should it come to that. Texas’s bold stance against Obama’s insanity has encouraged other states to join the fight. Arizona has also filed suit against the government over the order.
How far can a President go to push his personal, warped ideology on the American people? We’ve put up with enough dangerous, liberal idiocy over the last eight years. Why should our school children suffer because Obama is trying to make a statement?
Texas and Arizona are not alone. Alabama Wisconsin, West Virginia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Utah, Georgia, and Maine are opposing Obama’s order as well. This certainly shaping up for a fight.
