Democrats are getting more and more worried about what Trump’s Supreme Court might do. During this Fall session, they will be deciding on major cases. And the 6-3 conservative majority has the power to overturn plenty of the left’s decisions.

We all know that they will be ruling on several pro-life laws. But they have also decided to hear arguments about a tough New York law that affects millions of Americans.

And, based on their opening line of questioning, the court just might strike down this Democrat restriction. From Fox News:

The Supreme Court’s questioning during oral arguments in a New York gun rights case showed that several justices have strong reservations about the state’s highly restrictive regulations for getting concealed carry permits…

“Why isn’t it good enough to say I live in a violent area and I want to defend myself?” Justice Brett Kavanaugh asked.

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments on a case over New York’s strict conceal carry law. In the state, a resident needs to convince the government they have a dire need to carry a firearm. This law, many people believe, is a gross violation of the 2^nd Amendment.

The case was picked up the by court, in a move that shocked Democrats. The Supreme Court hasn’t taken up a 2^nd Amendment case in years. How they rule could have tremendous repercussions around the country.

At the very beginning of this trial, the justices’ questions seemed to suggest they already disapprove of the law. Justice Kavanaugh’s questioning appeared to imply he did not agree with the severe limits of the state’s policy.

Justice Alito seemed to echo similar sentiments. The state is very reluctant to issue a resident a concealed carry permit. Someone has to be very specific about the dangers they face before the government is willing to grant them this permit. Based on how the justices questioned lawyers, they don’t appear to agree.

This is upsetting Democrats for obvious reasons. How the court rules on this case can have impacts on other states’ gun laws. If the court rules to strike down New York’s permit law, Americans might sue other states with similar limitations.

It could result in more freedom being given to American citizens. And that’s something leftists really hate.
