What’s Happening:

It’s no secret that Joe Biden isn’t winning over Americans. Since the start of his presidency, his approval has declined. By the Summer, it started to crater. Today, it is one of the worst approval ratings we’ve ever seen. And it hasn’t even been a full year yet!

But despite Biden’s ongoing train wreck, Democrats want to make things even worse. They are hell-bent on passing a radical spending plan that will bankrupt future generations. Not to mention force socialism onto the country. Conservative leaders are watching this, very closely.

And Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas has a plan if things get very bad. From The Hill:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said that Texas should secede if Democrats “fundamentally” destroy the U.S. but added that “he is not ready to give up on America yet.”

“If the Democrats end the filibuster, if they fundamentally destroy the country, if they pack the Supreme Court, if they make D.C. a state, if they federalize elections, if they massively expand voter fraud, there may come a point where it’s hopeless…”

“I think Texas has a responsibility to the country, and I’m not ready to give up on America. I love this country,” he said.

While speaking about the many radical plans Democrats have for the country, Sen. Cruz revealed Texas might secede if Democrats go too far. He pointed to the many attempts Democrats are making to secure total power over our government, eradicating checks to their control.

Cruz warned what might happen if Democrats eliminated the filibuster, destroyed the Supreme Court, and legalized voter fraud through “federalizing” elections. He claimed this would “fundamentally destroy” the country, as Americans would no longer have a voice in what happens. Democrats would dominate every part of our government.

If such a dire situation were to happen, if things became hopeless, Cruz said Texas should leave. And if Texas left, many other states would be sure to follow. We could see as many as 15-20 states leave the union, over the radical proposals being pushed by Biden and Democrats right now.

Cruz also believed that Texas is “an amazing force” preventing Biden from dragging the entire country over the cliff. We’ve seen that firsthand. Texas and other conservative states have pushed back against Biden’s radical agenda. They have sued the administration, rejected his mandates, and are currently defending the border.

Without the hard work of leaders in Texas, Florida, and a few others, Cruz believes there’d be no United States right now.

But will there come a time when Texas and other Republican-led states have no choice but to secede?
