We should all celebrate the First Amendment because it guarantees Americans the right to voice their opinion in peaceful assembly. It does not however give license to stifle the rights of others, nor does it endorse inciting riots.
That hasn’t stopped Trump rallies across the country from being plagued by Black Lives Matter activists; as well as other malcontent groups.
Protesters have staged gatherings to disrupt Trump events in St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago, and other venues along the campaign trail.
There are several organizations involved in the protests, but Black Lives Matter seems to be the most prominently and aggressively visible.
Tef Poe is one of the groups mouth pieces and had some very nasty things to say last week, as reported by Right Wing News…
Dear white people if Trump wins young niggas such as myself are fully hell bent on inciting riots everywhere we go. Just so you know.— War Machine III (@TefPoe) March 16, 2016
He followed up with another promise: “Trump wins aint no more rules fammo. We’ve been too nice as is.
”Poe is by no means a nobody, he has appeared in innumerable articles charting the rise of ‘Black Lives Matter’ and was credited with coining the phrase, “This ain’t your grandparents’ civil rights movement.
”The rapper was one of the co-founders of Hands Up United, a “social justice” organization that emerged after the death of Michael Brown that was responsible for coordinating large BLM protests in the St. Louis area.
St. Louis was hit by riots in August last year as police were forced to use tear gas to disperse demonstrators who threw bricks and bottles at officers. The “hands up, don’t shoot!” mantra was later discredited by DNA and autopsy evidence that confirmed Michael Brown did not have his hands up when he was shot by Officer Darren Wilson.
Poe’s threat to incite riots comes on the same day that Donald Trump himself warned that any attempt by the GOP establishment to steal the nomination from him may result in civil unrest.
It’s ironic that Mr. Tef Poe and the BLM protesters claim the same rights and freedoms afforded to them by the very Constitution that they so hate. It protects their freedom of speech and gives them the right to be heard without fear of retribution.
The peaceful transition of power is one of the attributes that has always set the United States apart from the rest of the world. We are not a Banana Republic, nor a third-world cesspool where regime changes often involve bloodshed and revolution.
Mr. Poe and his not so merry band of agitators are welcome to relocate to a country more suited to their ideology if they aren’t enjoying the American experience.
