In the past few weeks we’ve seen Democratic presidential walker (since running is out of the question), Hillary Clinton’s Health faltering right before our eyes. Looking pale and weak as if she were at the point of passing out and at least once being carried into her van after a fainting spell forced her to leave the 9/11 memorial observance last Sunday.
All of this has beckoned a call for both candidates to release their medical records in their entirety but so far we’ve only seen a few blurbs about Hillary having pneumonia and up until today Republican presidential runner, Donald Trump, had only released a statement from his doctor saying he was in excellent health.
From Allen B. West:
The health of The Donald hasn’t been discussed nearly as much as Hillary’s. A doctor’s note described his health as “astonishingly excellent,” and that he would be the “healthiest president ever” if elected, but it later turned out that note was written in a mere five minutes. Since that naturally was called into question, another medical evaluation of Trump was released today.
And from Politico, we read:
Donald Trump is in “excellent physical health,” his physician wrote in a medical note released Thursday by the Republican nominee’s campaign.
Trump had a more extensive physical with his personal physician, Harold Bornstein, on Friday of last week and from the results released on Wednesday we are told:
“In summary, Mr. Trump is in excellent physical health,” Bornstein wrote in the note dated Wednesday, released in conjunction with the airing of Trump’s appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show,” also taped Wednesday in New York.
Trump’s campaign also issued a statement boasting about Trump’s health and taking a shot at Hillary Clinton.
“Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump, who is setting records for number of events, size of crowds, and breadth of travel on the campaign trail, determined in light of increased scrutiny of candidates’ health, it was important to have a detailed physical examination for all the various standard tests attributable thereto,” the campaign said in a statement sharing the results. “We are pleased to disclose all of the test results which show that Mr. Trump is in excellent health, and has the stamina to endure — uninterrupted — the rigors of a punishing and unprecedented presidential campaign and, more importantly, the singularly demanding job of President of the United States.“
It is comforting that the Trump campaign has been more forthcoming than Hillary’s in releasing information about the candidates, that we need to know, but before the final push in the next couple of months, there needs to be total transparency. Something we know the Hillary campaign avoids like the plague!
