Hillary Clinton’s shtick is that she’s a super-feminist champion of women and children. Not even her biggest fans can point to any actual accomplishments she’s achieved in this realm, however.
There’s a big difference between talk and actions and in a smooth move, Donald Trump has managed to steal even this issue away from the Democratic nominee.
All he had to do was ask a few basic questions. From the Conservative Tribune:
At a recent campaign event in Roanoke, Virginia, Trump didn’t hold back his contentions that, despite being on the political scene for years, Clinton has failed actually to achieve anything good for our country.
In particular, the GOP nominee blasted Clinton over women’s and children’s issues — topics that have largely been considered strengths or at least pet causes for the former secretary of state.
“My opponent likes to say that for decades she’s been fighting for women. That she’s been fighting for children,” Trump said, according to Fox News. “Why then are 70 million American women and children living in poverty or on the brink of poverty?”
It’s a theme Trump has returned to time and again: If Hillary Clinton’s ideas are so wonderful, why are many old problems worse than ever before, even after she’s had the power to fix them?
It’s a question she simply can’t answer.
