Space has become a strategic part of protecting Americans.
But after the September 11, focus was shifted away from exploring galactic defense and instead homeland security became a priority.
Other countries have continued to pour billions into their space programs, vying to be the dominant country in the space race.
Now Trump wants to bring back an important program that was abandoned for over a decade, and it’s putting Russia and China on high alert.

President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order before the end of the year creating a U.S. Space Command as a major military command.
Vice President Mike Pence will make the announcement Tuesday at the Kennedy Space Center, in Cape Canaveral, Florida, two U.S. officials said, and Trump could sign the order as soon as Tuesday.
The move is separate from Trump’s goal of creating a “Space Force” as an independent armed service branch, but could be a step in that direction.

The reinstitution of the U.S. Space Command proves that the President takes the safety of Americans seriously.
It only makes sense to have a program in place that will help protect our planet from the hostile entities, ideologies, and countries who wish to dominate on a global scale.
Since the beginning of time, nations have been battling to establish dominance in any way they can.
Space is yet another arena where the world can engage in battle, and with the advent of private rocket companies like SpaceX, it’s only a matter of time before there are numerous countries with the ability to engage each other to control the planet.
Too many are willing to let the U.S. fall behind while other global superpowers work to exploit our helplessness.
We can’t be taken by surprise should another country decide to attack us.
Thankfully, President Trump has the vision to establish this country as the global leader in outer space, as well as on Earth.
This is all part of his plan to making America safe and strong again.
