Obama said Donald Trump couldn’t fix it for America—but he did. And Trump Jr. won’t let Barack forget it.
Barack Obama made lots of promises, didn’t he?
But he didn’t deliver on any of them, and when Donald Trump won the election in 2016, Barack started taking little jabs at the new President.
You may remember one of those jabs; it came after Trump promised he’d fix America’s slumping economy.
Obama said Trump was overconfident and wondered what sort of “magic wand” Donald was going to use to repair our country.
Here’s a refresher:

Now, here we sit, two years later, and the country is in the best economic position in decades.
Unemployment is at its lowest in nearly fifty years, optimism among business owners continues to soar, and the market has rebounded.
Gee, looks like Trump DID have a magic wand.
And that’s what his son, Donald Trump Jr., told Breitbart News.
“No one with a brain actually believes he did anything good for our economy or for our foreign policy.
Everyone saw that anything he did basically put America at risk and made us weaker.
Every time he drew a red line, other countries walked all over it. He did it again, and they walked all over it.
Guess what?

Countries, whether it’s foreign policy-wise or whether it’s business-wise, they realize you have someone now that actually cares about America in there, that’s actually doing it–
Not someone who’s going to make us look weak where you can walk all over us because that’s the precedent that he set.
There’s a new sheriff in town. We’ve changed all that.”
Trump Jr. also referred to Obama taking credit for the economic upswing:
“The biggest joke I’ve seen in the last two years is Obama claiming credit–trying to claim this economy…
…because his policies of over-taxation, oppressive regulation, guess what?
That didn’t do anything. That drove this country into the ground.“

In the end, Trump’s “magic wand” is very, very real … and Obama never had any such tool. Just empty promises and a lot of self-righteous bluster.
