As inauguration day, Jan. 20th, 2017 draws nearer, president-elect Donald Trump is making preparations to assume the role of president and his appointments for cabinet positions are being filled with what appears to be some very capable individuals.
Naming former Texas governor, Rick Perry, to head up the Department of Energy (DOE) was a good choice if qualifications are considered since Perry was very successful in the Texas governorship for 8 years.
According to the latest information Trump will nominate Congressman Ryan Zinke as Sec. of the Interior.
Independent Journal Review has more:
President-elect Donald Trump will nominate Montana Republican Rep. Ryan Zinke to be his Secretary of the Interior.
Multiple outlets reported Tuesday that Zinke had been offered the position after meeting visiting Trump Tower in New York on Monday.
Trump’s nomination of Zinke to head the Department of the Interior comes on the heels of rumors that House Republican Conference chairwoman and Washington Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers was top billing for the position.
Independent Journal Review continues:
In Congress, Zinke sits on the House Natural Resources Committee, including subcommittees on Energy and Mineral Resources as well as Federal Lands.
Zinke previously served as a U.S. Navy SEAL where he was the commander of Joint Special Operations Command in Iraq and trained legendary SEALs such as Marcus Luttrell and Chris Kyle.
Zinke’s wife, Lolita is actively involved in the Trump administration’s Department of Veterans Affairs and stated:
“Nothing is more near to my heart than caring for our troops,” Mrs. Zinke said in a statement Monday. “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve in such a crucial part of this Administration.”
America is, indeed, fortunate to have such capable and concerned individuals working with Trump to undo the damages done by the Obama regime and get the country back on track towards more freedom, prosperity and to make a positive contribution to the world again!
