Another day, another big company proving Trump right.
At the start of his campaign, Trump blasted U.S. companies like Ford for moving their operations to Mexico. He made it very clear that companies that robbed American workers of jobs will be punished.
Yet we’ve seen more and more companies betray their hard-working American staffs by gutting factories and moving them to Mexico. The Mexican government has been plundering U.S. companies by offering tax breaks and much lower wage requirements for their workers. A Trump Presidency would put a stop to this.
The most recent fight over this issue has started, from all places, at the PGA.
Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump is responding to the PGA moving the 2017 World Golf Championship to Mexico instead of holding it at Trump Doral in Miami.
“They move the World Golf Championships from Miami to Mexico City,” Trump commented. “They moved the PGA Tour, moved the World Golf Championships from Miami, where they’re furious to Mexico City.”
The PGA claims they were having trouble “finding sponsors” should they hold event at Trump’s resort. They had trouble find sponsors for the most popular golf event in the world? That’s like saying the NFL had trouble finding sponsors for the Superbowl.
The move is obviously motivated by the fact that Mexico, as in many other cases, is offering lower costs. The PGA clearly doesn’t care about how many U.S. jobs suffer, by hosting an American event on foreign soil.
Trump has some more strong words to say about this.
“If I become your president, this stuff is all going to stop,” Trump added. He went on to criticize the U.S. economy for being taken advantage of by Mexico.
Trump slammed the decision, saying it’s a “sad day for Miami, the U.S. and the game of golf. This decision only further embodies the very reason I am running for president of the United States.”
“I hope they have kidnapping insurance,” Trump stated during an interview with Fox News.
Those are some strong words, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from Trump. Other media corporations have tried to fight Trump since his candidacy and lost. I’m learning that Trump’s predictions tend to come shockingly true.
PGA better get some kidnapping insurance.
