Report: Trump’s NOT Sending NY Terrorist To Gitmo – He’s Doing Something MUCH Worse

Since the terrorist attacks on 9/11, the United States have detained suspects at the detention center Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. While it’s been the topic of debate and controversy, it ensures radical, Islamic terrorists are detained in a secure facility.

The horrifying attack this week in New York resulted in the capture of Sayfullo Habibullaevich Saipov, a professed terrorist. The culprit survived and soon faces prosecution.

Ordinarily, a criminal like this would be sent to Guantanamo Bay. Trump has decided not to do so. His explanation is perfect.

From The Right Scoop:

Trump tweeted out why this morning his administration is not sending the Manhattan truck terrorist to GITMO:

Well there’s one thing I definitely agree with and that’s the death penalty. I think that’s exactly what prosecutors should push for. As I suggested yesterday, anything less than that would be a slap in the face to those who died at the hands of this animal.

Besides, we don’t need him getting a life sentence so he can spread Islam in the prisons and radicalize more people.

There is a certain justice that the man who murdered eight New Yorkers would face prosecution in the same state. President has also expressed concerns over the length of time a federal prosecution would take.

In saying so, Trump is taking a stand against this vile act. He is urging our criminal justice system to swiftly bring this man to justice.

His mention of the death penalty also raises some questions. Technically, New York does not have the death penalty. An exception could be made, in certain cases. Considering this is a terrible crime that was targeting a bus full of children, this might be one of those.

Recent terrorist attacks have resulted in the death of the perpetrator. With Saipov alive, we can not only question him for details, but publicly prosecute him in the court of law. Hopefully he will be made an example of.
