Oh, ye of little faith. When Trump came out, guns a’ blazing, declaring tariffs on imported goods, so many turned white in fear.
How many news stories, from conservatives outlets, did you read that declared it was the end of the world? But tariffs are necessary.
Foreign countries have abused our free trade deals, dumping cheap goods into our country. They have destroyed numerous industries in America, including textile and steel, thanks to their sweatshop labor and inferior materials.
All that is coming to an end. President Trump got tough with Chinese steel and aluminum. Next, he promised Europe that if they didn’t lower their ridiculous tariffs on American products, they’d face the same consequences.
Well, what do you know? Trump won, yet again.

On Wednesday, President Trump won another major victory, as the European Union delegation meeting with him agreed to significant concessions to avoid a trade war.
Those concessions included lowering industrial tariffs on both sides, ratcheting up LNG exports and soy beans to Europe, and aligning regulatory standards so European markets would be more receptive to medical devices from America, according to The Wall Street Journal…
On Wednesday, Trump stated, “Over the years, the United States has lost hundreds of billions of dollars to the European Union and we just want it to be a level playing field for our farmers, our manufacturers, for everybody.” Juncker acknowledged, “We are close partners, allies, not enemies, we have to work together.”

In response to the announcement of European concessions, the stock market leaped upward.
For years, Europe has hit American products with massive taxes. In some cases (as with American cars), they hit our goods with tariffs upwards of 50{75726800c12fe2ebed14402fd98444a61f7eda42751f92330bc58faf20bd8821}. Obviously, there was no way we could compete.
Yet they wanted to sell their products in the U.S. with no tariffs whatsoever? I don’t think so.
That kind of limp-wristed, pathetic policy might have flown under Obama, but not Trump. This president actually cares about American workers. He’s not a hack that’s been bought and sold by globalists. And he’s not scared of ruffling a few feathers if it helps American workers.
Now, not only will tariffs on American goods drop, but the EU is about to buy plenty of American goods. And that’s most likely just the beginning.
It’s all in keeping with Trump’s promise of fair trade. What an idea.
Make sure everyone knows what an amazing deal Trump just struck for the American people, because the media sure as heck isn’t.
