She stole over $900,000 – and she was married to a famous NASCAR driver.
Thanks to the brave men and women in the Armed Forces, all of us are free. However, our great veterans are often treated worse than outsiders by our country.
The way our VA has mistreated our veterans has long been documented. Only now, thanks to Donald Trump, is that agency getting major overhauls.
But there are other ways our veterans have been cheated, abused, and taken advantage of.
At least in this one case, the abuser is getting her just desserts.
From Fox News:
Patricia Driscoll, 40, a former girlfriend of NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, was found guilty of wire fraud, tax evasion, and first-degree fraud, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release.
Driscoll was the former executive director of the Armed Forces Foundation, a Washington-based charity formed in 2001 to promote quality-of-life for veterans and their families, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
She resigned from the charity in 2016 after allegations of misused funds. The charity disclosed a 2015 federal tax filing which reportedly indicated Driscoll had misspent $900,000 on personal expenses, going back to 2006.

It’s unthinkable that anyone would steal funds meant for veterans.
Our men and women who served in wars suffered unspeakable horrors. Those who survived warfare are often faced with huge hurdles.
They suffer physical disabilities and mental setbacks. Often, they have trouble finding work and reintegrating into our society. Some never get the health care they need. Others end up on the streets.
With that in mind, it’s absolutely stomach-turning to think this entitled, spoiled woman could steal so much cash from our veterans.
And to think, she’s still fighting the charges!
