What’s Happening:

Don’t be fooled. Democrats in your state want to turn it into California. There are no “moderate” Democrats anymore, just far-left radicals waiting to get enough votes.

Disagree? Just look at Virginia. Last year, the Democrat-majority forced a bill that will ban the sale of gas-powered cars. Such an extreme move could ruin most residents’ livelihoods.

But the new Republican governor has vowed to stop it.

I am already at work to prevent this ridiculous edict from being forced on Virginians. California’s out of touch laws have no place in our Commonwealth,” [Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin] added.

Meanwhile, Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert, a Republican, said in a statement last week that GOP state lawmakers plan to propose a measure that delinks Virginia’s car emission standards from California’s.

Before Youngkin was elected governor, Virginia Democrats passed new emissions rules that mirrored California’s.

These rules would have banned the sale of gas and diesel cars in a matter of years. Imagine what that would do to the state.

The only cars Virginia residents would be able to buy would be EVs. Which means struggling families and working-class folks would go into debt trying to get a car.

Gas stations would go out of business, leaving those with gas cars in the lurch. In reality, this problem would start right now, before the rules go into effect, as people rushed to get ready.

California might be able to handle such fascist rules (though I’m sure many will suffer, even there), but not Virginia.

Republican Gov. Youngkin vowed to put a stop to these rules. The Virginia House Speaker, Republican Todd Gilbert, also promised new rules to be put into effect next year.

They promised to “delink” Virginia from California’s disastrous agenda.

For years, Democrats have tried to force a “green” agenda onto Americans. It would only be a matter of time before EVs become a practical alternative to gas cars.

But Democrats don’t want to wait. They are forcing the issue, which has only caused havoc to our economy.

(And let’s not forget that we have a car inventory shortage, making new EVs even more expensive.)

It doesn’t seem that Democrats know how to do anything right. Thankfully, Youngkin has come on board to fix this crisis.
