Thanks to Obama’s disastrous Iranian deal, the world is a much more dangerous place.
A nation that sponsors terrorism, that calls for the death of America and Israel, is now shockingly close to acquiring nuclear weapons. Instead of sanctioning the nation and preventing them from developing a nuclear program, President Obama allowed the nation to move full speed ahead.
It’s only a matter of years before they have the ability to make nukes. There’s no telling how they will use them.
So it comes as no surprise that actual leaders are taking a strong stance, preparing for whatever eventually might occur.
From Foreign Policy:
In a year-end speech to his top military officers on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin threw down the gauntlet, declaring that the Russian military, emboldened by recent adventures in Syria and Ukraine, is ready to defeat any country that dares challenge it. “We can say with certainty: we are stronger now than any potential aggressor,” he proclaimed. “Anyone.”
So after, President-elect Donald Trump had this to say, via Twitter:
“The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes,” he tweeted.
More and more nations have nuclear capabilities. Many more than should be trusted with weapons of mass destruction. With countries like Iran and North Korea eager to have these weapons, America, Russia, and others will feel compelled to protect themselves.
While the 50-year standoff that was the Cold War ended without a nuclear weapon being used, the stakes are much higher today. America must take a strong stance against hostile countries who might acquire these weapons.
Maybe one day we will live in a world without nukes. But until that day comes, we need to be ready.
